 The Columbia Public Library is seeking applications for a service oriented individual to fill a Circulation Clerk/Office Manager    16-18 Hour Position  -  $11.00/hour                                         Applications will be taken until May 1, 2018


Job Responsibilities – Duties include but are not limited to participating in all functions of the circulation desk.  Job will include issuing library cards, orienting patrons to the library, promoting and assisting with library programs and services, providing recommendations and reference service, answering telephone inquiries, assist patrons with computer use, training patrons on use of digital resources and equipment, creating displays and signage.   Maintaining supplies and ebook collection.  Communicate with vendors, inquire about new library services and reconcile reports. 


 Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities-  Provide friendly, high quality customer service; ability to communicate effectively and courteously; ability to relate to library users of all ages; ability to continually work to improve the library and its role in the community; ability to work as a team member; ability to learn and teach new technology; ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the library; ability to perform moderate lifting.  Some knowledge of reader’s interest, books and authors, and library services.
